CVD Coating (Chemical Vapor Deposition)
CVD coating technology was first introduced to the carbide cutting tool industry over 35 years ago. Since the inception of CVD technology Ti-Coating, Inc. has continued to develop and refine the technology to broaden the range of applications, thereby providing significant production increases and cost savings to be achieved on a variety of metal cutting and metal forming applications.
The superior coating bond strength associated with the CVD process is achieved by means of the chemical reaction which takes place between the coating compound and the surface of the heated substrate material, this characteristic combined with the ability to create multiple layers with relative ease, makes the CVD process the workhorse of coating technology and the ideal choice for many difficult metal forming and metal cutting applications.

Please Note: Due to the elevated temperature of the Chemical Vapor Deposition process, care must be exercised with regard to the material being considered for CVD coating. Please contact Ti-Coating, Inc. for additional technical assistance.
