e. Ti-Coating, Inc. offers Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) for stripping coating from carbide inserts. The process involves many variables such as coating thickness, type (composition) of coating and the temperature of the original deposition. The above variables make it impossible to guarantee any absolute result however and, as such, Ti-Coating will be unable to assume any liability.
f. Ti-Coating, Inc. strongly recommends obtaining a vacuum heat treat process for tool steels that will receive CVD coating. We furnish a pre-coat size recommendation that will also mandate heat treatment with a vacuum process.
